Stay close by my side, for the night is long and dark
There’s nowhere we can hide, and fear fills up our hearts

So it’s here that we wait, until the sun rises at last

I can hear the monsters in the woods
I can hear the church bells ring
I can hear a clap of thunder now
As I stare into the rain

The soldiers stand guard over crumbling walls
The fires of war still ablaze
The sirens still sound in the dead of the night
They ring through the smoke and the haze
